El Bautismo is located east of Guatire, taking the old road towards Araira, and then going up to the Avila in an agricultural area.

There is still no oficial take off yet, but the locals are using a little terrain without plantations in front of a little bar-restaurant called "taguara" in Venezuela, and it even has a court of "bolas criollas".

The launch is oriented to the east, as well as the whole ridge, which allows good soaring and thermic conditions through the day. Of course, it's best to take off before noon when the sun heats that whole side.

The flight is really nice. It's possible to enjoy all the farms and the beautiful mountains. With good conditions you can fly up the cloud forests of the Avila National Park and take a little X-Country flight to El Ingenio.

There is no oficial landing spot. You can either make toplanding, or land across the ridge wherever you see it possible. But for security reasons I don't advise to fly down to Araira. Try to stay up and make toplanding or fly to el Ingenio.
