This flying spot could have been taken out of a movie: You are in Canaima National Park, one of the most spectacular an powerful places of our planet. You get on a dugout canoe, made out of one tree trunk, and you navigate from Ucaima Port along the Carrao river, and you enter a small stream until you get to a small tepuy, indigenous name for mountain. You walk under the sun for about 2 hours, and you taje off surrounded by savannas and table mountains.

You grab your thermal that will bring you high up, and then, yes, then you will see the most spectacular view: Canaima Lagoon, Kusary tepuy, Kurun, Wei Tepuy, Auyantepuy (where the Angel Falls are), and even some isolated communities of the Pemón Indians.

This place is magic, and has got potential. The vultures will accompany you to fly the lands of the Lost World. This place is thermic, as well as dynamic, and I recommend experienced pilots to fly here, since a landing in the middle of the savanna can mean several hours of walking, since there are no vehicles to pick you you up, and to the north there are dense jungles.

When you manage to catch a thermal, it is possible to fly to the nearby tepuys, do toplanding and launch again. Canaima lagoon lies 6 Km away with its spectacular waterfalls and beaches. You can land on Anatoly island, and walk to the Sapo Falls, or you can dare to land on Canaima beach.

This flight requires special permits. You have to take in mind, that you are within Canaima´s air corridor, therefore, you should be really carefull with the surrounding air traffic.
